Our very own Carmen Garcia was chosen by the American Institute of Graphic Arts to design the movie poster for Kartemquin Films’ Typeface. Premiering at July’s TypeCon 2009 conference in Atlanta, the film charts the intersection of rural America and contemporary graphic design.

All attempts to contact Carmen for a statement were referred to her agency. Oh right, that’s us. In that case, “I am so proud AIGA chose me and Realm supported me,” she said, putting her sunglasses back on. “I just hope I can get the time off for the Academy Awards next year.”
